DINOSAUR ISLAND presented by Donatos

Dinosaur Island, presented by Donatos is back from extinction by popular demand and with new dinosaurs! Travel back in time, 65 million years, for a prehistoric adventure of colossal proportion. Located in the Australia & the Islands region, 25 life-size, animatronic dinosaurs are on the loose, and we need your help to find, identify and document the whereabouts of the dinosaurs roaming the Island.
 
Equipped with a map and identification guide, the adventure begins on foot down the boardwalk, where you will spot several exciting dinosaurs. Then you will board a "water taxi" or boat and discover all the dinosaurs along the forested banks of the stream and come face-to-face with a dinosaur bigger than the Tyrannosaurus!

When is Dinosaur Island open?

Dinosaur Island is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., May 17 through November 2. 
 

Can my little adventurer journey through the Island?

Children must wear shoes and be able to walk in order to ride a boat at Dinosaur Island. If the child is less than 42 inches tall, they must be accompanied by individual aged 16 or older.
 

Why bring dinosaurs to the Zoo?

Through this realistic, animatronic dinosaur experience, it is the hope of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium that guests of all ages will come to appreciate the prehistoric past and its lessons for our planet’s future.
