OhioHealth's HOOFit at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Step your way to good health with the OhioHealth HOOFit walking program at the Zoo. With every step you take, exploring the Zoo is fun and healthy. We can’t think of a better way to get started on those 10,000 steps a day recommended by The President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.
Every step counts
No matter what size your steps, your healthy adventure starts here. We’ve made it easy to track your steps by doing the math for you with this chart. Just choose your route and step your way to a more active lifestyle. Check out the HOOFit Step Calculator on the back of the Zoo Park Map, or pick up your own from Guest Relations.
Join in the healthy fun
Walk with the animals, talk with an OhioHealth physician and an animal educator and find out why exploring the Zoo is healthy for you. We host several walks throughout the summer; each highlighting various health topics, including Sports Medicine, Women’s Health and Cardiology.
