Teddy Bear Safari Offers Teddy Care and Berenstain Bears

Powell, OH – Teddy Bear Safari returns to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium with special guests the Berenstain Bear family, on August 10 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Children ages 2 to 9 who bring a teddy bear on this day will receive complimentary admission when accompanied by a paying adult. 
Nationwide Children’s Hospital clinic volunteers will be on site offering medical attention and wellness checkups to teddies at the “Bear Care Den” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Stations will be stocked with stitches and Band-Aids to patch up scrapes and minor bear “boo boos” in an effort to teach children about their annual check-ups before heading back to school.
In addition to the teddy bear clinic, visitors can watch some of their favorite animals beat the heat while receiving ice blocks filled with treats during “Block and Roll.” Donatos also presents the Character Ambassador Rolling Celebration and Character Story Time featuring the entire Berenstain Bear family.
