POWELL, Ohio – Kick off summer fun with $6 Columbus Zoo and Aquarium admission including unlimited Zoo rides beginning today after 4 p.m. with Family Nights at the Zoo presented by Bob Evans Farms.
 
The discounted summer admission rate gives guests access to the Zoo and unlimited Zoo rides, including the new Jungle Jack’s Landing, after 4 p.m. every Monday through Thursday beginning today and lasting throughout the summer. Discount is valid for all ages.
 
Also starting today, slide into Family Nights every Wednesday beginning with the Columbus Crew Soccer Tour featuring the X-Box gaming system on a 42” plasma screen TV with Street Soccer 2, a prize wheel to win soccer related prizes and a radar kick inflatable to compare your speed with the pros.
 
Stop by the Water’s Edge event pavilion from 6 to 7 p.m. to visit the zoo’s promotional animals and catch a child friendly and animal related movie. Other special entertainment includes caricature artist Dan Cade and the music of Bob Piascik at the Water’s Edge Events Park.
 
Family nights at the Zoo provide fun and educational family activities every Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. through August 20. All evenings will include appearances by the Zoo’s character ambassadors, animal encounters, giant inflatable games, mini golf, entertainment at the Water’s Edge Events Park and more. Also, don’t forget to stop by Family Night in Habitat Hollow, sponsored by SWACO and the Division of Wildlife, for face painting, keeper talks, storytelling, science stations and more.

The Zoo is open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with special extended Wednesday hours until 8 p.m. through Aug. 20. Admission is $10 for general admission, $7 for children ages 2 to 9 and senior citizens 60+ and free for children younger than 2 and Columbus Zoo members. Jungle Jack’s Landing opens daily at 10 a.m. and closes one hour after Zoombezi Bay closes. Rides are available for a nominal fee.
