POWELL, Ohio – Zoombezi Bay at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will soon be filling approximately 900 seasonal positions for its 2008 opening season. When combined with the seasonal jobs available at the Columbus Zoo itself, there will be 1,200 total positions available.
The hottest job in the city this year will be lifeguarding at the newest attraction in Central Ohio. When Zoombezi Bay opens in May, it will be staffed with 175 lifeguards. Other positions will vary from park services who will keep the splashy new water park clean to bartenders who will serve tropical drinks to the adult guests. Positions at the Columbus Zoo will include conservation/education counselors, marketing assistants and everything in between.
