Heat up your summer with some cool jazz!

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has teamed up with the Jazz Arts Group of Columbus to bring you our JazZoo Concert Series!

Experience the many talents of Artistic Director Byron Stripling and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra at the Water’s Edge Events Park at the Columbus Zoo.  

Gates will open at 6:15 PM and concerts will begin at 8:00 PM.  Your ticket includes admission to the Zoo for the day!

Jazz Meets Tap | Clark, Manzari 
Experience a fusion of rhythm and soul like never before as "Jazz Meets Tap" brings together the extraordinary talents of vocalist Phil Clark and dancer Leo Manzari alongside your Columbus Jazz Orchestra in an electrifying concert that will leave you in awe. Admission

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. No food or drink is included in the single ticket package or the non-catered reserve tables; however, food and beverage will be available for purchase. No outside food or drink is permitted in the concert venue.

CONCERT GENERAL ADMISSION:         

  • Concert Adult Admission:                        $50.00 (prior) / $55.00 (day of)
  • CJO Subscribers / Zoo Members:           $45.00 (prior) / $50.00 (day of)

RESERVED TABLES (non-catered):
Includes a reserved table of 8 in the reserved table section.

  • Concert Table of 8                                  $350 
  • CJO Subscribers / Zoo Members:          $315 

VIP CATERED TABLES:

Includes a reserved table of 8 in the VIP section. Each guest at the table will receive a delicious buffet and 2 drink tickets.
Buffet Menu (July 14 and August 4): Cheese and seasonal fruit display, BBQ sliders, Pork belly deviled eggs, Tortellini caprese skewers 
Buffet Menu (July 21 and August 11): Charcuterie board, Turkey sliders, Hummus Duo, Smoked salmon Crostini, Brulee Fondue 
Buffet will be open from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. VIP Catered Tables must be reserved no later than 7 days prior to each concert.

  • CJO Subscribers / Zoo Members:          $450 
  • Only August 4, and August 11 Available.

  • Admission may be purchased at columbuszoo.org or by calling the Zoo at 614-724-3485.
  • Wristbands will be mailed. Admission purchased less than 14 days prior to the event will be placed in Will Call at the front entrance of the Zoo.

Know Before You Go
  • Standard $10 parking fee per vehicle applies. 
  • The concert admission price includes Zoo Admission for the day of the concert. Guests can come early to the concert and enjoy the Zoo prior to the performance. Zoo opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 6:00 p.m.
  • Wristbands will be required for each concert. The color of wristband will designate the type of ticket each guest has and what area they will be permitted to sit.
  • There is NO OUTSIDE FOOD or BEVERAGE PERMITTED in the concert area. For your convenience, there will be concessions available for purchase which may include: Hamburgers, Cheeseburgers, Falafel Pita, Mezze, Baja Shrimp. 
  • A CASH BAR will also be available which may include: Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet, Dos Equis, Angry Orchard, Blue Moon, White Claw, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Budweiser, sodas and water.
  • For your safety and the safety of our animals, there will be bag checks at the entrance to Water’s Edge.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Guests are welcome to bring purses, backpacks, etc up to 22 inches long by 10 inches wide by 12 inches high. These approved bags must be kept with guests while at the event in Water’s Edge. Bags left unattended outside of Water’s Edge will be confiscated. Outside food and beverage is not permitted within the concert venue. 
  • Complimentary transportation will be available from the Zoo’s entrance to Water’s Edge Events Park to accommodate our guests who need assistance (running 6pm - 10:30pm)
  • General admission tables and chairs are provided and are available on a first come first served basis. If guests bring their own lawn chairs, they are welcome to, however we ask that they be placed on either side of the general seating. Please note that the view may be obstructed.
  • Wheelchairs and strollers can be rented at the Entry Village at the Zoo if needed.
  • JazZoo concerts will take place rain or shine but may have a delayed start due to inclement weather.  The decision to cancel or delay the start of a concert will not be made until the scheduled concert time or shortly thereafter. Concerts will be deemed complete if performed up to intermission. In the event a concert should be cancelled, ticket holders will be eligible for a complimentary ticket to any future JazZoo concert during the current season.  If the season has concluded, ticket holders will be eligible for a complimentary ticket to a Columbus Jazz Orchestra concert held at the Southern Theater.
