Let’s face it—nothing kills the summer vibe faster than realizing you left your towel in the car, wore the wrong swimwear, or didn’t know you needed a chaperone for the littles. But don’t worry—we’ve got your back like sunscreen on your shoulders.
Before you cannonball into the best day ever, here’s your unofficial guide to all the need-to-knows, so you can focus on soaking up the fun (and not the confusion).
Know Before You Go Zoombezi Bay Policies
First Things First: Plan Like a Pro
Hours:
Zoombezi Bay is open daily in the summer, but hours vary. Always double-check the hours of operation before loading up the car. Some days may have early closings or special events!
Tickets:
Save money (and skip the gate line) by buying tickets online. Heads-up: Prices vary based on the day, so booking early often gets you the best deal.
Parking:
All-day parking is $10 for the general lot. Bonus tip: Zoo members, Zoombezi Bay Season Pass holders, and Gold Members park free!
Dress Code Do’s (and Don’ts)
This is a family waterpark, so swimsuits should keep things friendly for all ages. Think secure, comfortable, and appropriate. Here’s the quick breakdown:
✅ Water-friendly attire like one- or two-piece suits, board shorts, and rash guards.
❌ No denim, thong bottoms, or suits with exposed metal or buckles.
❌ And please, leave the street clothes for after your splash session.
If in doubt, we’ve got swimwear available for purchase on-site!
Height Matters (But Fun is for Everyone)
Some rides have height requirements—check signs at each attraction. For the little splashers in your group, Baboon Lagoon and Pelican Point are perfect pint-sized paradise spots!
And for anyone under 48 inches tall, life jackets are available and required on many attractions (free to use, by the way).

Can You Bring Snacks?
We love food. We really do. But for safety (and health code) reasons, outside food and beverages are not allowed inside Zoombezi Bay. The good news? You’re not stuck with soggy nachos. We’ve got food options for every taste—from Dippin’ Dots to the best chicken tenders ever.
You can bring small snack items in to the park, which can include:
- Baggie size sandwich
- Small bag of chips
- Individual serving of fruit snacks
- Baby food and formula (just no glass containers, please)
- Special diet foods if medically necessary (just let us know at the gate)
You’re also welcome to picnic outside the park in the designated area just past the entrance. Your cooler just needs to remain in the designated Cooler Cove location while you enjoy the waterpark.
Lock It Down
Lockers are available to rent in different sizes for anything that you’re concerned could get waterlogged or may wander off. Bonus: You can access your locker as many times as you want throughout the day.
Safety First, Always
Our certified lifeguards are always on duty, trained and ready to keep the fun safe. But a little teamwork goes a long way. Keep an eye on your group, follow posted signs, and if you need help, just ask. We’re here to help your family have a smooth day.
What Not to Bring
To keep Zoombezi Bay clean, safe, and fun for everyone, please leave these at home:
- Alcohol
- Glass containers
- Weapons
- Pool toys or inflatables from home
- Drones or selfie sticks (yes, really)
