Turtle Survival Alliance (TSA) is a global force for turtle conservation that takes action on behalf of critically endangered turtles and tortoises.
Using a comprehensive strategy to evaluate critically endangered species, they determine the best way to address the problems and bolster the animals' survival.
The Columbus Zoo's Involvement
- The Columbus Zoo staff have supported TSA by participating in field care for radiated tortoises rescued from the illegal pet trade in Madagascar.
- The Zoo provides educational opportunities for Zoo guests and also hosts fundraisers throughout the year.
- Rick Hudson from Turtle Survival Alliance received the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s prestigious Commitment to Conservation Award in 2021.
