Rumpke is committed to keeping neighborhoods clean and green by properly disposing of discarded material. For a full list of electronic items that you can donate, visit Rumpke's website.
Accepted items that you can donate include:
- Glass bottles and jars
- Steel cans
- Aluminum cans and cups
- Plastic bottles (Please empty, crush, and reattach lid)
- Plastic tubs
- Plastic cups
- Plastic clamshell containers
- Paper
- Cardboard
- Cereal boxes
- Pizza boxes
- Paper cups and cartons
Items Not Accepted
- Hazardous waste
- Batteries
- Electronics
- Yard waste
- Plastic bags
- Cassette and VHS tapes
- Textiles, including bedding and clothing
- Hangars
- Metal chains
- Garden hoses
- Medical sharps or needles of any kind
- Polystyrene foam buckets
- Car parts
- Food
- Light bulbs
- Drinking glasses
- Colored party cups
- Ceramics
- Pots and pans
- Scrap metal

Dress for Success primarily accepts feminine-presenting professional attire. However, we welcome additional clothing donations as well—any items not accepted by Dress for Success, such as men’s and children’s items, will be collected and shared with other local nonprofit partners so that nothing goes to waste and can be repurposed. If donating multiple categories, please separate men’s and children’s items from women’s items to help our team sort donations efficiently.
Even if you do not plan on visiting the Zoo this day, you can still participate in the donation drive!
Upon arrival, let the parking booth attendant know you are participating in the recycling drive and you will be able to enter the parking lot at no charge. Once inside the parking lot, turn left, and you will see the collection container. Please follow the cones once inside the lot.
