Dr. Teri Caulin-Glaser is a member of the Columbus Zoo Board of Directors and a longtime donor to the Zoo.

Growing up, both my husband and I were fortunate to have parents who instilled in us a deep respect for wildlife and conservation. Our childhoods were filled with memorable visits to the Bronx Zoo and Botanical Gardens, where we learned not just about animals, but about the importance of protecting their habitats and understanding our role in the natural world.

When we met in college, one of the first things we connected over was that shared passion. It was more than just a love for animals...it was a commitment to conservation and education. After moving to Columbus, we found that becoming members and donors of the Columbus Zoo and The Wilds helped us feel instantly connected to our new community.

The Columbus Zoo and The Wilds are vital to our region as world-class destinations for families and visitors, but also as centers for conservation, education, and research. They inspire future generations to care about wildlife, provide sanctuary for endangered species, and lead global efforts to protect biodiversity. Their outreach programs and community engagement make a lasting impact far beyond their gates.

For us, the Zoo is a place that reflects our values, our history, and our hopes for the future. Supporting these institutions allows us to be part of something bigger: a community that values stewardship, learning, and the natural world.
