CUMBERLAND, OH – DT Midstream, a Detroit-based leader in natural gas infrastructure, has donated $10,000 to support conservation at The Wilds, one of North America’s largest and most impactful safari parks and conservation centers. The contribution reflects DT Midstream’s commitment to environmental stewardship and investing in the communities where it operates.

Spanning nearly 10,000 acres in the rolling hills of southeastern Ohio, The Wilds is a destination for conservation, education, and outdoor adventure. Visitors can experience the intersection of wildlife and sustainability through guided safari tours, overnight stays, ziplining, and more—all while supporting global conservation efforts.

With energy infrastructure projects underway in the Cambridge area, DT Midstream saw a unique opportunity to support an organization making a difference in its own backyard.

“We believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work,” said Ken Magyar, Vice President of Business Development at DT Midstream. “Supporting The Wilds aligns with our mission to build a sustainable future—not just through energy, but through partnerships that help preserve and protect our environment.”

DT Midstream is recognized as an industry leader in environmental sustainability, by consistently going above and beyond industry standards. Having committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, with a targeted 30% reduction by 2030. The company was among the first U.S companies to voluntarily report methane intensity data as part of the Natural Gas Sustainability Initiative (NGSI). From planning to project completion, DT Midstream prioritizes minimizing environmental impact and leaving project sites better than they were found.

“We’re incredibly grateful for DT Midstream’s support,” said Dr. Joe Smith, Vice President and Director of The Wilds. “Their investment helps us continue advancing our mission of conservation, education, and sustainable coexistence with wildlife—both here in Ohio and around the world. Partnerships like this allow us to expand our reach, strengthen our programs, and inspire future generations to care about protecting the natural world.”

This partnership goes beyond a financial contribution—it represents a shared commitment to conservation, community, and long-term positive impact. As DT Midstream continues to expand its operations across the Midwest and beyond, it remains focused on creating meaningful outcomes through sustainability and collaboration.

“We understand that places like The Wilds have a ripple effect far beyond Ohio,” Magyar added. “Their work touches communities around the globe—and we are proud to be part of that story.”

Together, DT Midstream and The Wilds are working to create a more sustainable future for wildlife, people, and the planet.

The Wilds is open year round, with a full selection of tour options offered from May through October and specialty tours available from November through April. For those looking to extend their adventure, The Wilds offers a variety of unique overnight accommodations, including the new Hellbender RV Campground, which opened this spring.
