Know Before You Go

• Admission to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is required and not included.   
• Reservations for tours and experiences must be made at least two days in advance.
• Guests must be at least 5 years of age. All guests ages 5 through 17 must be accompanied by a paid adult tour participant (18 years of age or older). Children under 5 are not permitted on this experience.  
• Participants must meet at the designated area at the gates to the entrance of the Heart of Africa region no later than 5 minutes before the start of the tour.
• Opportunities for photos are limited to specific locations of the tour. Your guide will indicate when photos are permitted.
• This experience is not ADA-accessible, but we may be able to accommodate some mobility devices. The terrain for the tour is uneven and includes packed dirt. Persons with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact us at 614-645-3400.  Close-toed shoes are recommended.  
• Please note that once you have booked an experience, you have secured your exclusive reservation. If you do not attend on your scheduled date or if you cancel within 48 hours of your tour date, no refunds will be issued.
• Due to the location of tours within animal habitats and the disruptions external animals can cause, service animals are not permitted on this tour. Please call 614-645-3400 for further information.
